’ll be taking tomorrow to reflect and remember. The pain of losing my little sister Harriet in 2017 is coupled with the fact that her birthday falls on Christmas day. We would always do Christmas in the morning and Harriet’s birthday in the evening. It was her day and always will be. So yeah, Christmas carries a bittersweet weight for me but I’ve always found solace and healing through songwriting. To process these emotions and connect with Harriet, I wrote this song and wanted to share it with you. There are expectations to be happy this time of year, which can be difficult for any of you who can’t to be with your loved ones. So if you are facing similar struggles, this is my gift to you. Amidst the baileys and crackers, I hope this resonates as a reminder that there are many people grappling with grief. If you relate in any way, take a moment, find some peace in your heart and soul, and know that you are not alone. Happy Birthday Sis 🤍 #love #therapy #songwriter #christmas #poetry #mentalhealth
