Loss. Feeling out of place. Getting caught up in things you know aren’t good for you. Trying to figure yourself out while everything feels a bit unclear. It’s a lot of frustration, if I’m honest. And I think that’s why they sound the way they do. They’ve been release valves more than anything, just somewhere to get everything out instead of holding it in. That’s where that heavier, raw energy comes from. It wasn’t planned… it’s just where I was at. Lightlines has kind of documented that whole process without me even realising it at the time. There was so much going on behind the scene that I couldn’t talk about. I think that’s why I disappeared into writing for so long. It wasn’t about making something for people to hear… it was just the only place I could put everything I didn’t have words for. Most of those songs will never be heard. But they led me here. To Alex. To Will. To Lightlines. Everything we’ve released comes from that place. We’ve been building this quietly from the ground up, and now it finally feels like we’re ready to open it up. Hey, we wanted to give you a little update. Over the past few releases we’ve been gigging around London in some really lovely grassroots venues experimenting a lot with our set. Sometimes full-on, high-energy rock and other times stripped-back, acoustic, slightly jazzier versions of the songs. And honestly, we’re having so much fun playing around with the music and discovering what we can become live. A lot of the songs we’ve released so far have been pretty rocky. And that’s because, if we’re honest, that was the energy that needed to come out. Releasing Wasted, Dance With Your Demons, Twisted… it’s been incredibly cathartic. But it also feels like that chapter is shifting. Bring on the next 6 singles! For a while we’ve been debating whether to release a full album because it’s all recorded and ready to go, but the reality is that albums aren’t really the best way to release music right now as a new band. So instead, we’ve come up with something really exciting… and we’ll be announcing that in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled. On top of that, we’re also really excited to be announcing a couple of festivals we’ll be playing this summer and we’d absolutely LOVE to see you there. This is whole thing really feels like a journey for us as we find our feet as a band and find our audience, but one thing we know is that we’re doing what we love. So thank you thank you thank you to everyone who’s streamed the music, come to our gigs, and supported us so far. You are absolute stars. And for us, this isn’t not about numbers. It’s about expressing all the emotions, processing life through music and bringing people together for a good time along the way.
