They said life isn’t just butterflies and rainbows. They were wrong. Yesterday I noticed this pop of orange in the green grass and much to my delight, a beautiful butterfly had landed in front of me. I shimmied closer and closer until I was basically cross-eyed, admiring the admiral when it took flight and landed on my shoulder! It could be the fact that I’m wearing a bright orange cap but on the longest day of 2022, the summer solstice, this wonder of life came to pay me a visit. When it flew away I turned around and saw the end of a rainbow. Can’t help but feel the warmth and significance this experience carries. “The black and orange butterfly also carries meaning: black represents mourning and sadness, while orange signifies warmth and joy. So when this butterfly lands on you, it’s telling you to take some time to grieve what has happened in your life so far. Staying the night in this stunning wigwam @portlympnepark Leopard Creek after an action packed day of giraffe spotting, rhino feeding, zebra zoomin’ monkey madness! This place is beyond outstanding in every way… from how they care for the endangered species, enabling them to be reintroduced back into the wild, to the tremendous amount of knowledge and love they have for the animals here. I’m going to learn more about the incredible work they do but so far it’s been the best experience and I can’t wait to see everything! How breathtaking is this view?! How funny is the gorilla opening the flap?!
